Productions and works of the Islanders
Work and production is of vital importance for the Delta.
Samiento planted the first wicker and the industry flourished very much with the production of baskets and assorted elements. In addition, the work of the Boats that transport trunk (called chatas), are very important for constructions of houses, stakes (protections of the coast against the waves of the river), etc. Also noteworthy is the production of jams based on native fruit plants of the Delta.
